Why do Dual-Hose ACs cool rooms faster than single-hose units?
Single-hose portable ACs often pull in hot air through door and window gaps, creating negative pressure and only cooling the area right in front of the unit. CoolPrime’s dual-hose design separates intake and exhaust, allowing true whole-room cooling that is faster and more efficient.
With inverter technology, it runs quietly (~45 dB) and consumes only ~561 kWh per cooling season(about 81¢ per day at $0.13/kWh), keeping you comfortable without driving up energy bills.

That's essentially what a single-hose AC does. It pushes air out, drops the pressure, and hot air rushes back in through every gap it can find. Why dual-hose instead of single-hose?
Single-hose units are a cost-cutting design and work more like a fan that blows cool air, only cooling the area directly in front of the unit. They create negative pressure indoors, drawing hot outdoor air in through door cracks and window gaps, making it feel like you're cooling with an open door or window. Dual-hose systems, with two separate air circulation pathways, are true air conditioners that can cool the entire room efficiently and are more energy-efficient.
What does inverter actually do for me?
Non-inverter units can only adjust fan speed, which changes fan noise but not the constant buzz of the compressor. At low fan speeds, the fan noise decreases, but the compressor noise becomes more noticeable and annoying. Inverter ACs let you lower both fan speed and compressor frequency, reducing both types of noise for a more comfortable experience. Another advantage of inverter ACs is that they are more energy-efficient. Your room doesn’t need the same cooling power all the time. During the day, when it’s hotter, you need stronger cooling — which uses more energy. But at night, when it’s cooler, less power is needed to stay comfortable. Inverter ACs let you manually adjust cooling power to match the room’s needs — use Turbo mode for fast cooling during the day, and Inverter mode at night to save energy. Fixed-speed ACs always run at full power, even when it’s not necessary — wasting electricity, especially at night.
Do I need to drain it manually?
In most cases, portable ACs do not require manual drainage. But if the humidity is over 85% RH and the room isn’t sealed, moisture from outside can 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, which may exceed the unit’s auto-evaporation capacity and require manual drainage. In such cases, unlike many portable ACs with drainage outlets at the bottom, our unit includes an additional drainage outlet positioned higher on the back, making the process much easier.
Why are there two different BTU numbers?
The cooling capacity of an air conditioner is influenced by the current temperature; the higher the temperature, the greater the challenge for the unit. ASHRAE 128 measures cooling capacity at 80°F, while SACC uses higher temperatures and stricter conditions, making it a more realistic measure of performance. Therefore, the SACC rating is usually lower but provides a more accurate assessment of the unit’s cooling efficiency in real-world conditions. Even for units rated at 15,000 BTU under ASHRAE 128, their SACC ratings can vary significantly. Since we don’t inflate the BTU rating of our unit, its size may be larger compared to some other "mini" models that falsely advertise 15,000 BTU. Its dimensions are 15.5" D x 17.7" W x 29.3" H.
What if my window is too wide for the included brackets?
The portable AC package includes two 20-inch window brackets and one 10-inch window bracket. If your window is larger, don’t worry. After receiving your portable AC, you can request additional window brackets for 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘.

Bought this Gasbye air conditioner a few weeks ago, I think I got it figured out and it runs great and does what it supposed to do it’s quite runs quietly. Works great in my room of just under 500 square feet with these 90-103F temperature these past few days, keeps my room 10-15F cooler then the outside temperature and the night mode setting runs even more quite, so I leave it on the night mode for the quietness so it’s not so bothersome during the day when I”m trying to watch tv or listening to music, or just a piece of mind so can rest without the noise level to high. Am happy with the Gasbyye inverter air conditioner with the remote, the service and the price is right far as I am concerned. Super simple and easy install. Did it all myself in 10 minutes and everything needed to seal the window comes in the box. I’ve only just set this unit up but it’s already cooled my large open concept kitchen / living room / office space. I’m in NY and looking forward to the humidity control that comes with the dual tubes. Already better than any window unit I’ve owned.

Only thing I would suggest is if that door that opens would move up and down. Don’t know if it would do anything but just a thought.

Seems like a well-built unit with an outstanding warranty by the manufacturer. We added this unit to our fifth wheel camper for extra cooling capacity on extremely hot days and yes, it helps a lot! At night it was the only unit we needed to run, and it was pleasantly quiet as well, providing just enough background noise to block out other sounds. I am happy with the unit at this point and let's hope that it holds up well and that the manufacturer stands by their warranty should anything happen to it. I will update you in the future.

I have yet to use it much as the season is just starting and I ran it two days. It was much better than I expected. I like the fact that you back your products and are reachable if needed. It did well to cool my area which is about 530 sq. feet. More as the summer comes to New York.

Hi there! This AC weighs about 65 lbs and has built-in 4 wheels, so it’s easy to move around.
I am considering both the 15,000 and 14,000 Models of the Portable A/C's. The maximum wattage for both models is 1290 watts. Is this correct?

can the window hoses be used for a vertical not horizontal window opening for slider window type
