How a Replaceable Pump makes your dehumidifier easier to use?

Unlike traditional dehumidifiers with built-in pumps that fail and force a full replacement, the DryPrime 35 BP keeps things simple. Its replaceable pump saves you money and hassle, and with up to 16 feet of vertical drainage, you can put it almost anywhere.

With 3 flexible drainage options and smart auto humidity control, it’s ideal for basements, garages, or living spaces. Reliable, quiet, and built to last.

Smart Humidity Control

If your target is 50% RH, the compressor stops when the internal sensor reads 48% RH. The fan (only using tens of watts) runs briefly to make use of leftover coil cooling—boosting efficiency and reducing waste.

Once humidity rises to 55% RH, the compressor restarts automatically. In the event of a power outage, the unit will resume its previous settings as soon as power is restored.

FAQs - Replacement pump

For product issues, please visit our Troubleshooting page.

What’s the difference between a dehumidifier with a pump and one without a pump?

A non-pump dehumidifier drains water by gravity—you attach a hose to the drain outlet, and the water flows downward naturally. Because there’s no pump to push the water, there are two limitations:

  1. The hose must run downward;
  2. The hose can’t be too long—typically no more than 5 feet.

In contrast, a dehumidifier with a built-in pump can push water upward and over longer distances—up to 16 feet. This gives you more flexibility in where and how you drain the water.

What should I consider when choosing a dehumidifier with a pump?

If you read through customer comments of pump-equipped dehumidifiers, you’ll often see complaints about the pump failing after 1–2 years. That’s because, in most models, the pump is built inside the unit and can’t be cleaned by the user. Since the air contains dust, the condensation water inside a dehumidifier is not clean. Over time, dirt builds up in the pump and eventually clogs it—especially if it can’t be cleaned.

The Gasbye DryPrime-35-BP model solves this problem. Its pump is located inside the water tank, so you can easily access and clean it at any time—greatly extending the pump’s life. And if the pump ever does fail, you can replace just the pump instead of buying a whole new unit.

Why should I buy DryPrime 35 BP?

Most dehumidifiers with a built-in pump on the market cost between $280 and $350. Since their pumps can’t be cleaned or replaced, there’s a high chance they’ll clog and fail after 1–2 years—often right after the 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐲 expires—forcing you to buy a whole new unit. With the Gasbye DryPrime-35-BP, you don’t have to take that risk. Its pump can be easily cleaned or replaced, saving you potentially hundreds ofdollars.

If the pump fails, where can I buy a replacement and how much does it cost?

We're currently optimizing the pump replacement packaging to reduce shipping costs. The replacement pump will be sold directly on our website and on Amazon for around $40.

Could not be happier with this dehumidifier, works perfectly and easy to set up

Made a great decision with this dehumidifier. Our basement humidity was getting into the high 80s. It took about 48 hours before this machine dropped it to 55%. Now it runs on and off intermittently keeping everything at 55/60 down there without a problem. I think we will get a second one for another area of the house. The set up was very easy, and you can tell from the packaging materials that a lot of care went into this machine. Easy to understand the instructions, very easy to read the manual.

Quiet and well-designed pump operation

Works great and is very quiet. Finally, a dehumidifier with pump that is well designer, well built, and works as advertised. I needed a dehumidifier with pump because I do not have floor drain for using the usual gravity drain and I do not want emptying the bucket when it is full. I first tried a model from Midea but it was too bulky, noisy, and had a bad/weak pump (will not drain water fully, almost 2/3rd water remained). I returned that and got this one and what a difference! The noise level is no more than a small desk fan (compared to the other one whose noise level was closer to kitchen exhaust). The best part is that the pump is designed to empty most of the bucket (there will always be some water left). The unit is really well designed and well built. I am using about 4 ft of rise and the water comes out in good volume and pressure. The support team is awesome (you do get responses within a day and understand what you need help with). Highly recommended.

three choices for removing water, including a pump.

The first unit had a defective connection to the pump which wouldn't work at all. The manufacturer replaced the whole unit which seems to work well as far as I can tell. They say that you can replace the pump alone if it fails, but in this case the whole unit had to be replaced. It will do a good job to dehumidify down to 45% or even lower if conditions permit. And there is a 2 speed fan, and even a sleep mode. It seems quiet to me even on high and there is an automatic shutoff if the tank fills. If you have a floor drain you can attach a piece of garden hose and it will drain continuously.
