Gasbye Chamber Vacuum Sealer Demo and Review - It's a Gamechanger!

Watch the full demo, tour and review of the Gasbye Chamber Vacuum Sealer see how it vacuum seals and quickly marinates foods.

Why does chamber sealing make liquids so much easier to vacuum seal?

External vacuum sealers clamp around the bag and pull air directly from the opening, which can draw liquids and soft foods toward the seal.

A chamber vacuum sealer works differently. You place the bag inside a sealed cavity, and air is removed from the entire chamber—both inside and outside the pouch. This creates balanced pressure, allowing liquids to stay exactly where you put them while the bag seals cleanly and consistently, without mess or manual timing.

Chamber vacuum sealer - use this chamber type for liquids

I feed raw dog food (raw ground meat and veggies) but don't make my own. Buying it in a 5 gallon bucket is FAR more economical (more than $2/lb cheaper) than buying it in small serving packs, but I learned long ago that I am too lazy to portion it all into containers to refreeze and use individually. It's not portioning it out that's the problem, it's cleaning up the containers daily. Enter the vacuum sealer. Similar to the food that comes in 1 or 2lb packs, now I can buy the much cheaper 5 gallon buckets and portion it into disposable vacuum packs myself. It more than pays for itself compared to ordering it already done for me. For my big dog, vacuum sealing myself saves over $4 per day!As far as the process goes, the chamber vacuum sealer gets out all the air - which is definitely needed for liquidy goopy meat like what I'm working with. The other type of vacuum sealer doesn't work as well on liquids and wet stuff like this.It comes with 11"x11" bags, but I did get some 1qt/8"x10" bags to split my meat into 2lb bricks since my dog eats 2lbs of food per day and the smaller packets are perfect for that. I used the included filler plate with the smaller bags. 38lbs made 19 bags of 2lb packets. I did the 60 second "marinate" pre cycle, then a 60 second vac&seal cycle which worked perfectly, as I wanted to freeze these and make stackable bricks. I will say, I did try one packet without the marinate cycle and it wasn't as tight feeling as the ones I did do that with, so I will continue to do the marinate, and then vac&seal, for wet ground meat like this. I threw the packets into the freezer and they all froze great and stackable.I think this would be great for people who hunt/fish or make big batches of sausage, soups, etc, because you can spend a day making everything then vacuum seal it all to keep in the freshness. Then freeze it. My husband likes to make crock pot "dips" for family gatherings and with the ability to vacuum seal, he can buy ingredients in bulk, portion them or the finished dip out into vacuum packets, and freeze the extra for later dates.Really my only complaint (and it's not their fault) about this vacuum sealer is it's kind of bulky and hard to find a place to store it in my small house. It's a similar size to other small appliances. The outer size and inner chamber sizes are in the product picture gallery. The unit feels/looks VERY well made, with stainless steel and glass, so it is heavy. Also, just be aware this unit does make a loud sound (like an air compressor), only during the cycles. It comes with extra parts AND everything is labeled to tell you what it is and what it's for - really nice touch!

I love this chamber sealer! It’s light enough that I can move it by myself

I love this chamber sealer! It’s light enough that I can move it by myself, compact so it doesn’t take up too much room but very powerful and deals like a much larger commercial unit.

Really like the machine I use if most everyday sealing leftovers

Really like the machine I use if most everyday sealing leftovers, just wish it was a little deeper for jars.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear it’s been working well for everyday sealing. Our 5.28QT chamber is great for large cuts of meat, big batches of soup, or a week’s worth of meal prep. We appreciate the note about jars—it’s great input for future improvements.

Great customer service from Amy and a nice unit for the price

Tracking of my order was not updated - Amy contacted me and I received my unit promptly. It was well packed and triple boxed. It is more compact than I anticipated, which makes it fit easily on my roll around kitchen cart. Attractive enough to stay out and ready for use. I appreciate the accessory hose for canning jars and the spare heat strip and gasket.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Glad Amy was able to help and that your unit arrived quickly and well-protected. Appreciate you taking the time to leave such a detailed review.

Do you sell chamber vacuum sealer bags like the ones that come with it with the purchase. The 11x11

Gasbye

Yes, but the 11" × 10" bags are currently out of stock and should be back in 1–2 weeks. BTW, our 11" × 20' bags work great with the chamber vacuum sealer too.

How can I vacuum sealer soft food without crushing it?

Gasbye

Unlike regular suction sealers that squeeze the bag from the outside, a chamber sealer removes air from the whole chamber. That keeps pressure balanced, so soft foods don’t get crushed—even soups, sauces, or ground meat.

If it’s extra delicate, just chill or lightly freeze it first.

Will this machine accommodate a 6 pound chicken?

Gasbye

Hi there! This chamber vacuum sealer has an internal cavity size of 11.5 x 9.7 x 3.4 inches.

While it cannot hold a whole chicken weighing 6 pounds (typically 4–6 inches tall), it is perfect for handling marinated meats, steaks, ribs, seafood, and portioned chicken.

Most users prefer portioned vacuum sealing because it freezes and defrosts faster and reduces food waste.

Can I use the vacuum seal bags sold at Uline? and what is the maximum size bag this machine will handle?

Gasbye

Hi there! You can use bags from any other brand — just make sure the width is smaller than the chamber opening of our machine (12.36 inches).
