Why does a failed pump usually mean replacing the entire dehumidifier?

Most dehumidifiers seal the pump inside — when it clogs or wears out, there's no way to service it, so the whole unit goes. DryPrime 35 WP is built differently. The pump is removable and replaceable, so long-term wear doesn't end the machine's life.

In practical terms, that means a covered repair under our 2-year warranty, or a $39 pump replacement later on — not a $300 dehumidifier replacement.

No floor drain nearby? No problem.

Most dehumidifiers need a drain below them to work continuously. DryPrime 35 WP doesn't — the built-in pump pushes water up to 16.5 ft, so you can drain to a sink, a window, or anywhere that's convenient. Prefer gravity drainage? The 5-ft hose is included too. Or just empty the tank when it's full. All three options ship in the box.

Set it once. It manages itself.

You shouldn't have to check on a dehumidifier. Set your target humidity and walk away — DryPrime 35 WP shuts the compressor off when the air is dry enough, then restarts automatically when moisture builds back up. If the power goes out, it picks up exactly where it left off.

Auto Shut-Off & Restart

One part fails. Only one part gets replaced.

Unlike most dehumidifiers with inaccessible built-in pumps, our pump is easily removable for quick cleaning or replacement, preventing clogs and extending the unit’s lifespan. If the pump fails, you won’t need to replace the entire unit.

Fits anywhere. Works everywhere.

Lightweight, compact, and whisper-quiet—ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, basements, and more. Wherever moisture appears, this dehumidifier keeps your spaces comfortably dry without disturbing your daily life.

Basement

Basements look dry until the smell tells you otherwise. DryPrime 35 WP pulls moisture from the air and concrete walls before mold gets a foothold — and drains continuously so you never have to go down just to empty a tank.

Living Room

The air feels heavy even when it's not hot. DryPrime 35 WP keeps humidity steady across open spaces so the room stays comfortable all day, running quietly enough that you forget it's there.

Laundry Room

Washer cycles leave more humidity behind than most people realize. DryPrime 35 WP prevents that damp smell from settling in — and with the pump hose connected, it drains itself so you don't have to think about it.

That sticky feeling after cooking doesn't just disappear. DryPrime 35 WP clears the air before moisture settles into cabinets and walls — drain it to the sink with the pump hose and it runs hands-free.

Do I need a pump, or is gravity drainage enough?

A non-pump dehumidifier drains water by gravity—you attach a hose to the drain outlet, and the water flows downward naturally. Because there’s no pump to push the water, there are two limitations:

  1. The hose must run downward;
  2. The hose can’t be too long—typically no more than 5 feet.

In contrast, a dehumidifier with a built-in pump can push water upward and over longer distances—up to 16 feet. This gives you more flexibility in where and how you drain the water.

If your drain is below the unit and within 5 feet, gravity drainage works fine. If you need to drain upward or over a longer distance, you need a pump.

What goes wrong with most pump dehumidifiers over time?

If you read through customer comments of pump-equipped dehumidifiers, you’ll often see complaints about the pump failing after 1–2 years. That’s because, in most models, the pump is built inside the unit and can’t be cleaned by the user. Since the air contains dust, the condensation water inside a dehumidifier is not clean. Over time, dirt builds up in the pump and eventually clogs it—especially if it can’t be cleaned.

The Gasbye DryPrime-35-WP model solves this problem. Its pump is located inside the water tank, so you can easily access and clean it at any time—greatly extending the pump’s life. And if the pump ever does fail, you can replace just the pump instead of buying a whole new unit.

What makes DryPrime 35 WP different from other pump models?

Most dehumidifiers with a built-in pump on the market cost between $280 and $350. Since their pumps can’t be cleaned or replaced, there’s a high chance they’ll clog and fail after 1–2 years—often right after the 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐲 expires—forcing you to buy a whole new unit. With the Gasbye DryPrime-35-WP, you don’t have to take that risk. Its pump can be easily cleaned or replaced, saving you potentially hundreds of dollars.

If the pump fails, how much does a replacement cost?
